I just finished Samurai Champloo and no one is on Trillian so wow I really need to type some stuff about how much I hate the last few minutes of the show so I don’t stay up all night thinking about it. First off, I know that they wanted to make the ending realistic, but I think they could have put AT LEAST more than a few words said between them. It was just the super generic exchange that the three used for everyone else they met on their journey. “Bye, I hope I see you again!!!” In my opinion that is just a terrible way to end off a show that was extremely focused on the team’s relationships with eachother. Sure, it leaves it open for viewers, but it was just so… bland. They just left it off with almost all of the viewers wondering where the scene after the credits was. Personally I think it would have been a lot better if they went down the same path. They all admitted they were friends and it isn’t unreasonable to assume they had a couple more journeys to travel as a group before going where ever the hell they’re going after they split up. I just… Really hate it. I think I’m going to convince myself they all ran back to the crossroads and decided that they should travel across the country together.
